Shoot Six - Straight Images

The leading line within this image carries the viewers eyes to the background of the photograph; the trees which line the pathway almost look like body guards protecting this sacred pathway to a special destination. I chose to convert my photograph to black and white in order to mirror my inspiration Ansel Adams.

This is an extremely wide landscape image capturing many varieties of nature (trees, grass, lakes, the sky...) This photograph is slightly broken up by the bridge in the bottom left hand corner, this may suggest that sometimes man-made objects can help us bridge the link between us and nature (e.g. a bridge to cross a lake.)

The two dark trees either side of this image appear to be standing guard of the tree which is central in the image; this is suggested as the two trees either side are larger, and bolder in comparison to the tree which is central. Moreover, du to the two trees having barely any leaves compared to the big tree in the middle, this could imply they may have had to fight to protect this tree in the centre, likewise to a cat fighting for its territory.

This image is taken in Waltham Abbey, of the Abbey church, the lake in the foreground with swans on it is extremely picturesque and sets the scene for the remainder of the image. I chose to convert my image into black and white in photoshop in order to mimic Adam's images as he was the inspiration for my shoot.

This image is again photographed in the main Abbey Gardens in Waltham Abbey. The tree in the top left hand corner of the image emphasises the depth of this image as it allows the viewer to compensate that the other trees and the back of the church are significantly further away. The tones created this image are vast, which mirrors Adam's photographs similarly.
