Shoot Eight - Straight Images

All of the images below are of a pepper, with its bottom cut off so that it stands up effectively in order to shoot inside the object, capturing the different compartments of its shape. I wanted to explore cave-like structures within this shoot, inspired by Nadege Meriau. I believe all of the images below effectively explore the depth that can be created through the use of organic objects (like peppers.) The low key lighting used within this shoot allowed shadows to be created, which in turn created the depth needed to create a cave environment. I chose to leave my images in colour, as this would be interesting to the viewer as caves are not usually red; moreover, the seeds on the roof of the pepper would be confusing to the viewer as they would create confusion as to why they were there, and what the object is?
